A great American political figure
The depiction captures a dignified Hamilton wearing a brownish-red jacket, vest, and high collar. His light colored hair or wig is pulled into a loose pony tail at the base of his neck.
Approximately 6 1/2 inches tall by 4 1/2 inches wide, the ornament has excellent presence and is a rare find.
Information about Alexander Hamilton:
Born on July 12, 1804, Alexander Hamilton was a soldier, Founding Father of the US, political philosopher, economist, one of the earliest constitutional lawyers, and the first Secretary of the Treasury. Many believe that more than any other, he designed the US government. He authored George Washington’s administration, particularly the funding the Federal government’s debt, the establishment of the national bank, friendly trade relations with Great Briton, and a tariff’s system. As the leader of the Federalist Party, he opposed the Thomas Jefferson’s and James Madison’s Democratic-Republican Party.
