Produced in 1998, this two part hanging ornament was exclusively available in restricted numbers through the Christmas Shop in Savannah, Georgia and subsequently retired. Very collectible!
Ben Franklin's expression suggests his excitement as he tests his theory about electricity.
The gray-haired Benjamin Franklin kneels down on one knee, holding a shiny golden spool of black twine. He wears a golden cap and vest, a ruffled pearl blouse, auburn knickers, pearl knee socks, and black shoes.
Above his head floats the infamous fully glittered, red and blue, checkered kite, sectioned with pearl lines. A brilliant, dimensional gold lightning bolt flashes across the front of the kite. A silver metal key and blue and white bows attached to the red kite tail ribbon dangle from the kite.
Ben is approximately 5 inches tall and the kite is approximately 4 1/2 inches tall, the imaginative Breen designs an earlier ornament that is a great addition to a collection.
