Christopher Radko "Time For A Bite", retired, mouth-blown and handcrafted Italian glass Christmas tree ornaments (ID 95-251-0).
Beautifully crafted first coloration and retired, produced in 1995. From the Peter Pan series, this one was produced early in the production and has color characteristics and styling different from the more solid-green iteration produced later.
Relatively few were made with these characteristics.
This rare, choice crocodile demonstrates terrific artistry. The legs, head , tail and even the claws are all hand-pulled glass during the mouth-blown process. Painstaking, intricate work.
The ornament was subsequently silvered and then carefully painted with scales, wonderful coloring, and the infamous clock that unceasingly tik toks! Where is Captain Hook?
Around 7 inches tall, this ornament has fine presence and is a wonderful ornament for fans of Peter Pan and for Italian Radko collectors, alike.
