As always, her design remains true to the rhyme that inspired it even right down to the curl in the middle of The Little Girl's forehead! Yet in Ms. Effner's talented hands, this Little Girl becomes as real and familiar to us as any headstrong youngster in our own lives.
So lifelike is the expression on her handcrafted porcelain face that we can't help but identify with her frustration.
And Ms. Effner's wonderful pose for the doll-shoulders hunched up, hands on hips-reminds us all of our own "horrid" days.
