Royal Doulton is a household name in England, where they produced everything from dinnerware to curtains and lighting. The Parent company opened its doors in 1853, mostly producing stoneware and decorative bottles. In 1871, they opened their first studio and really began making beautiful pottery.
The Bunnykins series of Chinaware and Figurines began in the 1930's with the illustrations of Mary Barbara Bailey, the daughter of the General Manager of Doulton. What most people do not know about the line is that Mary was not a professional illustrator, but a nun.
Bunnykins Chinaware was used by Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret for their children and has since become a popular gift for Christenings and birthdays in the English Middle Class.
The bottom of the bowl is full color stamp of three bunnies underneath the Royal Doulton with 'English Fine Bone China "Bunnykins" R REGD TRADE MARK' stamped below that.
